The Story

Red Clover (Trifolium pratense) is also commonly known as trefoil or meadow clover, is a biennial or perennial in the fabaceae, or pea family. It is native to Europe and Asia but is now common around the world. The small round, purplish pink flowers grow atop stems 1-2 feet long. The oval leaves with their characteristic ‘V’ marking, appear in groups of three along the stem and around the flower.

Red Clover is a highly nutrient rich herb, full of amino acids, minerals and vitamins, that has been used for everything from liver detoxification and hormonal support to healthy skin, eye health and more. Red Clover has a mild, slightly sweet flavor that makes it appealing for children and a great alternative to adding honey to less palatable tea blends.
